2.10.12 PX Story: Autumn Plot

Artist Ania Bas  invited me to contribute to PX Story at Parson Cross on Saturday 29th September.

PX Story Autumn: Plot took place on 29th September between 8-11am.  PX story will occupied a plot at the Car Boot Sale at Chaucer School (Wordsworth Avenue,
Sheffield, S5 8NH) near ASDA and opposite Learning Zone in Parson Cross.

This gave people a chance to buy first drafts of PX Stories (starting at 5p per story),  to collect their free badge and contribute more tales to the growing PX collection. Ania invited artists Charlie Hill and Lyn Carruthers to explore the notion of PLOT from their perspectives and through their practices.

29.6.12 Sheffield Great Art Show on this weekend

Be there or be square.  More details at SGAS

Sadly didn’t get in to factory night, but got some good ideas about new projects for the future.

Factory Night @ Dundas House, Middlesbrough
On Saturday 23rd June 12-6.30pm and Sunday 24th June 11-4pm

I have applied to take part in the Rednile factory night above.  Fingers crossed.  Will hear on Friday 1st June.

Another successful Open Up weekend.  A total of 215 visitors over the two weekends.  Sold many cards, some barn door reproductions too.  Thanks to everyone who came to my studio and chatted to me and showed an interest in my work.

Visitors to my studio Open Up Sheffield

Had a great Open Up weekend with more than 115 visitors.  Sold some postcards, barn door greeting cards and mounted reproductions of my barn doors.  Enjoyed talking to visitors about my art, their art and many other things.  Loking forward to next weekend.

I’ve had my six barn doors series pictures selected for the Great Sheffield Arts Show.  Hurrah!  Hope they sell.  I’ve never been before so will go this year to see what its like.

Sadly I’ve just heard that I didn’t get selected for the Creativity and Craft Production in Middle and Late Bronze Age Europe (CinBA) for their Contemporary Makers Project.  It was a long shot.  However it made me write my art CV and set up this blog as well as now having a potential project to develop so not all bad!
